In this deal, a BLG team formed of Alfred Page, Anick Morin, Michael Patry, Daniel Lang, Christine Collard, Neil Hazan and Marc Purdon, has advised Elekta, a Swedish company, in its purchase of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Resonant Medical Inc. for $30 million.
RMI, which has 35 employees, mostly based in Montreal, develops systems for image guided radiation therapy of soft tissues.
Elekta is a human-care company pioneering significant innovations and clinical solutions for treating cancer and brain disorders. The corporate headquarter is located in Stockholm, Sweden, and the company is listed on the Nordic Exchange under the ticker EKTAb.
