OUR EXPERIENCE

  • Negotiating and drafting energy contracts, including renewable energy agreements for the purchase and sale of emission reduction credits and verified emissions reductions;
  • Providing legal and public policy advice to electricity generators, utilities, trade associations and NGO's on federal, provincial and municipal climate change legislation;
  • Advising large emitters on the Ontario Security Commission's requirements for continuous disclosure related to environmental matters (National Instrument 51-102);
  • Assisting clients in accessing new federal government Credit for Early Action Program for facilities that could be subject to industrial air emissions regulations;
  • Structuring and managing comprehensive environmental due diligence programs as part of environmental assessments;
  • Assisting clients in negotiating sponsorship, advertising and other media incentives;
