Background
Lawrence Kwinter is a Partner at our Calgary office and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1981 and the Ontario Bar in 2004. Mr. Kwinter graduated from the University of Windsor Law School in 1980.
Areas of Practice
Lawrence is the Calgary leader of the Commercial Real Estate Group and Commercial Leasing Group. Lawrence is also the Calgary leader of the Health Law Group (non-litigation).
Professional Experience
Lawrence advises a broad range of private and public Real Estate Corporations as well as REITS and Pension Funds with respect to commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, commercial lease matters, financings and joint ventures throughout Canada.
Lawrence has extensive experience in handling municipal and development matters on large scale commercial developments and resort and hotel properties.
Lawrence also advises private and governmental entities on a broad range of health law matters including:
- representing a governmental agency responsible for the delivery of health services in their corporate reorganization
- representing health regions in the establishment of nursing homes and hospices
- representing health regions in outsourcing some of their non-core functions
- representing a private entity in the establishment and operation of diagnostic centres across Canada
